Confined Form

Visualizing COVID

This abstract visualization captures updated COVID-19 statistics and translates them into an agile and dynamic creature, similar in shape to a spherical type virus, sometimes moving freely, and other times smothered and confined within 4 walls. The most affected countries are obliged to impose stricter containment rules, which produces a certain shape in the organism, which differs from the representations of the least affected countries.

Through an active list of almost every country in the globe, get into a deep visualisation of this particular moment in the history of the world. As data is being push throught in real time, Agustin « Confined form » opens a sensitive dimension of a global matter.

How is it that a same « virus » has so many different ways of live? What’s in from the political, cultural, economic? The use of fondamental colors, unrecongisable forms, speed, mouvement brings to life a part of the virus that is so present and at the same time invisible.

Much as the virus itself, we think is in the air, and mostly in human fluid, this killer moves fast and seems to have the ability to pas throught. « Confined form » it’s a visualisation of the times we are living.

Use your arrouws or mouse to get deeper in the form. You can change perception by changing the view point and the perspective.
